XLAB 38-Gram Gorilla Carbon Cage

The GORILLA Cage secures bottles in place on rough roads and saddle-mounted carriers. With six high, carbon gripping fingers, a tall retention tab, and thicker carbon material, it offers over twice the grip of standard carbon cages. This cage fits standard cage mounts.

• High Grip – The GORILLA CAGE’s 6 arms are spring-loaded providing optimal bottle contact and 10 pounds of bottle grip. A reinforced top cage hook shaped to match the contours of your bottle, securely locking into the bottle’s neck. The arm surfaces are flat and smooth, providing unmatched cage to bottle friction. More friction means fewer bottle ejections.
• High Arched Arms – Tall cage arms positioned to grip mid bottle help retain the bottle throughout your ride. A narrow center opening maximizes the amount of contact around the bottle and helps encourage vertical bottle removal, matching the natural movement of your arm. A flared bottle opening assists blind bottle insertions when you need to be focused on the road ahead.
• Purpose - Optimized for rear mounted hydration systems, but excels wherever installed. The increased grip force makes it a great choice for Triathlon and Road bikes where bottle ejection from rear carriers is a concern. Also performs well when used as a frame cage. Fits most standard diameter water bottles. For maximum grip, use a bottle that has a consistent groove all the way around its neck. It should be uniform and fit tightly against the Gorilla’s top retaining hook.
• Installation - Quickly and easily mounts with included bolts. Oval mounting holes allow for fine tuning cage placement. Perfect for down tube or seat tube installation.
