This is one of the films in the 'Hallmark Hall of Fame' series, which airs on CBS TV and features "heartwarming TV movies."

In 1940, a 10-year-old boy named Sammy, played by Frankie Muniz, is traveling on a long-distance bus from Birmingham, Alabama, to Burlington, Georgia, with his mother. During the night, the bus stops in town for a restroom break, and the mother goes to a bar to get a drink. Among the crowd dancing wildly outside, a man takes her hand and invites her to dance. Initially resisting, she soon finds herself dancing as well. However, when she sees the bus starting to leave, she hurriedly tries to return, but the man doesn't let go. Instead, he effectively silences her and drags her into an empty lot behind the bar.

An emotional drama featuring Matthew Modine and James Earl Jones, with bonus footage included, running approximately 95 minutes.
