It also provides adequate working time at higher shop temperatures. When combined with 105 Resin in a five-part epoxy resin to one-part hardener ratio, the cured Resin/Hardener mixture yields a rigid, high-strength, moisture-resistant solid with excellent bonding and barrier coating properties. 206 Slow Hardener is not intended for clear coating. We designed 105 Epoxy Resin to wet out and bond with wood fiber, fiberglass, and reinforcing fabrics. It also bonds well with a variety of metals. Unlike traditional wood glues, WEST SYSTEM 105 Resin-based epoxy mixtures are stronger than wood or many other substrates. With this epoxy, the goal of clamping is to simply ensure the epoxy contacts the entire surface for the duration of the cure time. Moderating clamp force is all that is required.105 Epoxy Resin is the base material on which all WEST SYSTEM 105 System epoxy compounds are built. It is a clear, pale yellow, low-viscosity liquid epoxy resin. Blended with hardener at the proper ratio, it cures to a hard, solid plastic with superior physical properties. Based on which hardener you choose, it cures at a wide range of temperatures. Once cured, it forms a high-strength solid that is functionally waterproof, and highly resistant to moisture vapor Epoxy vs. Esters. We’ve formulated 105 Epoxy Resin (and its corresponding hardeners) without volatile solvents. Unlike polyester or vinylester resins, our epoxy virtually does not shrink after curing. With a relatively high flash point and no solvent odor, it’s safer to use than styrenated resins.West System 502-8 Black Pigment 4 Ounces502 Black Pigment is an epoxy-based liquid colorant used to tint the epoxy mixture black, providing an even, black color base for the final finish system. Colored surfaces also tend to highlight flaws and imperfections. Cured, pigmented epoxy surfaces are not final finish surfaces but require an additional paint or UV filter coating for ultraviolet protection. You can blend it into any WEST SYSTEM® 105 Resin/200 Series Hardener combination, G/flex® Epoxy 650, or G/5® Five-Minute Adhesive. DESIGNED FOR Color Modification

• 105 EPOXY RESIN (32 fl oz) is a clear, pale yellow, low-viscosity liquid epoxy resin which wets out and bonds with wood fiber, fiberglass, reinforcing fabrics and metals. Blended with 206 Slow Hardener at a 5:1 ratio, it cures to a hard, solid plastic with superior physical properties.
• POT LIFE AT 72°F (22°C) is 20 to 25 minutes. Cures to a solid state in 10 to 15 hours. Cures to maximum strength in 1 to 4 days. Minimum recommended working temperature is 60°F (16°C). Does not contain VOCs and has relatively high flash point and no solvent odor.
• 502-8 BLACK PIGMENT provides an even, black color base for the final finish system when blended into any WEST SYSTEM 105 Resin/200 Series Hardener combination.
• INCLUDES CALIBRATED PUMPS that dispense 105 Resin & 206 Slow Hardener at the correct 5-part resin to 1-part hardener mix ratio. One pump stroke of resin for each one pump stroke of hardener yields 0.8 fl oz of the exact 5:1 epoxy mix ratio. These durable polypropylene pumps provide years of dependable service.
