This jewelry set was heavily inspired by the novel "Water for Elephants" by Sara Gruen. Many elements from the novel were used in its design:
Gold-colored faceted metal beads, red crystal bicone beads, gold-colored mini bugle beads, and black glass seed beads: for the book cover
Upcycled gold-colored metal, black, cream, and red charm: for the book cover; also reminded me of a circus tent
Animal charms: for the menagerie
Treble clef & bike charms: for other circus elements
Champagne & bottle charms: for all of the Prohibition drinking in the novel
The necklace also features a length of gold-colored metal chain that is also upcycled, making this a sustainable jewelry option. The drop length of the upcycled charm & large elephant charm together is 3". The necklace measures 16"-18 3/4" in length, while the bracelet measures 6 3/4"-9 1/4". Both feature gold-colored lobster claw clasps & extenders.
