This vintage Ramos Chavez sterling silver ring features an oval Arizona fire agate with peacock color variation (green and purple) with visible round "fire agate pearls" set in a strip bezel surrounded by twisted silver wire. While Ramos Chaves did not traditionally use fire agate in his work, he did create commissions which is likely why this ring was created. The shank is composed of thick bands, and is split at the top of the ring and fused together around the band. The ring measures 1 1/16โ in total length; the band measures 6.3mm wide by 2.1mm thick. The stone measures 21.6mm long by 13.8mm wide.
Hallmark: RC, conjoined with the C offset below and to the right of the R.

This ring is vintage (pre-1980) & pre-owned and shows signs of wear to the stone (photos). The ring is not stamped to indicate metal purity but I tested the band with a GTE acid test. The results (red) indicate sterling silver. The metal is also not magnetic.
