Vintage Japanese Ginbari Cloisonne Vase Rose Pigeon OX Blood Red 7.25 Inch A

Vintage Japanese Ginbari Cloisonne Vase, Rose Floral Design, Pigeon OX Blood Red, refers to the main color. Measures 7 1/4" tall, approximately 4" side to side at the widest and 2 3/8" rim to rim. Ginbari Cloisonné is a specific type of Japanese cloisonné where textured silver foil is applied to the metal body before the enamel is applied. This is absolutely a beautifully done piece with a glossy finish. I am including a wooden base for display purposes as shown in the picture. No chips, cracks or breaks. There is what looks like some pitting near the bottom that appear as white specs-see close up pictures. The rim has some discoloration. Also, only on the bottom, under the finish, there is what looks like a spider vein appearance. Upon research, this is common with these vases as a translucent enamel is applied over the textured foil and fired, allowing the underlying pattern to show through.
