Galvanized Wire Rope Thimbles are hot dipped to give them a thicker coating of zinc than the standard zinc plated thimbles for added protection from corrosion. These heavy duty thimbles are great for outside applications where a zinc plating just isn't quite good enough. Our steel thimbles are made to meet or exceed Federal Speification FF-T-276b, Type III.
