A hooded jacket that uses Thermoball, jointly developed by The North Face and Primaloft, as the padding.
This ball-shaped padding material replicates the bulkiness of down feathers with synthetic fibers and is characterized by its resistance to flattening.
"Gel-like air" is kneaded into the fibers, adding insulation to the padding itself.
Even if it gets wet with water or sweat, the insulation is not compromised, and it is exceptionally warm despite being thin!

Air is an excellent insulator. The reason down jackets are light and warm is because the feathers (down) enclosed in the garment expand even in small amounts, creating a barrier of air layers. Thermoball Pro, jointly developed by The North Face and Primaloft, is a ball-shaped padding material that replicates the bulkiness of down feathers with synthetic fibers. Unlike down feathers, it does not flatten when wet, so it maintains high insulation. Furthermore, by kneading "gel-like air" called aerogel into the fibers, insulation is added to the padding itself. This innovation improves insulation by about 15%.
