Steel Strike Shim

The Steel Strike Shim is a UL Certified solution for 60- and 90-minute fire doors with excessive clearance between door and frame, ranging from over 1/8" to 3/8". It's also necessary for 20- and 45-minute fire doors with excessive clearance between door and frame, ranging from over 1/8" to 9/16". For 20- and 45-minute fire doors, the NGP 9200 Intumescent Seal Excessive Clearance Solution is required where excessive clearance occurs at jambs and head. Similarly, for 60- and 90-minute fire doors, NGP GAP90 or GAP90N Excessive Clearance Solutions are required where excessive clearance occurs at jambs and head.
