The 7706E, a variant of the 7706 model with a Grade E EPDM gasket, is a reducing coupling by VSH Shurjoint. It facilitates direct reduction in piping, eliminating the need for concentric reducers and additional couplings. Its unique rubber gasket design prevents smaller pipes from telescoping into larger ones during vertical installation. Each 7706 coupling consists of two identical housing segments, an EPDM rubber gasket, and plated track bolts and nuts. The housing segments come with standard painted finishes, typically orange or red.
