This "PORTER GLUE" series of leather accessories utilizes the "beta-bari" technique, which involves bonding two thinly skived pieces of leather together, emphasizing a beautiful finish and thin profile.

These items are designed to be lightweight and thin, making them suitable for use in business or travel settings. The use of very thin leather, ranging from 0.5mm to 0.6mm, allows the items to be discreetly carried in the inner pocket of a suit jacket.

Beta-bari, where glue is thinly and evenly applied to carefully bond two pieces of leather together, requires a high level of craftsmanship as it can easily lead to leather lifting or wrinkling. The bonded material becomes a single piece, with the grain surface on both sides, resulting in a thin yet durable and resilient material with added flexibility. To further enhance the beauty, the edges are carefully cut vertically and repeatedly polished with dye to create a natural luster.

The outer leather uses Italian kip leather (cowhide from calves aged 6 months to 2 years). After dyeing the base color, a deep embossed pattern is applied, and then the raised surfaces are dyed with a slightly darker tone in a "two-tone finish," adding depth to the color. The embossed leather is resistant to scratches, and the semi-aniline finish, which uses both dye and pigment, makes it less prone to color fading. The lining leather is made of firm combination-tanned cowhide steer.
