From Brooklyn, formed in '95, this is the 2002 hidden gem debut album "THE FUTURE IS NOW" by NON PHIXION, a twisted underground group at the forefront of the East Coast scene, featuring ILL BILL, GORETEX, SABAC, DJ ECLIPSE, NECRO, and others! This album also features selections that impressed connoisseurs, such as LARGE PROFESSOR. It includes "ROCK STARS," a skillful hardcore track produced by DJ PREMIER, which is still played often, using BAR-KAYS' "IN THE HOLE" and INSPECTAH DECK's phrase from GANG STARR's "ABOVE THE CLOUDS" as the hook; "DRUG MUSIC," which uses MOBB DEEP's "ALLUSTRIOUS" vocal sample on a neat track by LARGE PROFESSOR; "IF YOU GOT LOVE" by PRO PETE ROCK, which provides a funky track using PETULA CLARK's "THE WINDMILLS OF YOUR MIND"; "THE C.I.A. IS TRYING TO KILL ME," a dark, straight hip-hop track by NECRO; and "BLACK HELICOPTERS," which uses Liya Fang's "Guitar Hot Springs" and is a precursor to the twisted, enka-style tracks by NECRO, etc. This is a N.Y. underground classic from the 2000s.
