"Galactic Drifter Vifam" is a robot anime that aired from October 21, 1983, to September 8, 1984. A total of 46 episodes.

Based on Jules Verne's "Two Years' Vacation," the theme is a survival story of children drifting in space.

・13 boys and girls continue their journey on the spaceship Janus.
Separated from their families by an attack by the alien Kuttonians, the children alone aim for Earth.

・Main robot: Round Vernian "Vifam"
A real robot designed by Kunio Okawara, with the appeal of 80s Sunrise-style mecha expression.

Synopsis
The year is 2058.
The human colony planet Cread, located forty-odd light-years from Earth in the Ipserlon star system, is suddenly attacked and destroyed by an alien army.
The surviving refugees and soldiers escape to a space station in satellite orbit.
By the time they escape into space again, there is only one adult left.
From information obtained from encountering alien escapees, the children fight the alien army with the Janus and the humanoid weapon Round Vernian to rescue their families who have become prisoners of the alien army, aiming for the enemy's base satellite and home planet.
However, the last adult is shot down and goes missing during combat.
The journey of the 13 boys and girls gradually becomes more intense.
