From the 2000s Kapital collection. This is a leather mesh version of the classic Popeye boots. Regular Popeye boots have a single-piece leather upper, but these feature a painstakingly woven leather mesh that creates interesting changes in the appearance with wear.
The opening is similar to Red Wing's Pecos boots, fitting snugly from the ankle to the instep. The size feels slightly larger than true-to-size, so it's best to wear them a bit loose.
Also, the soles can be replaced at Kapital (for a fee, with several options available).
