Iris Hantverk Oak and Horse Hair/Tampico Bath Brush

Handmade in Sweden, this oil-treated oak bath brush has horse hair and tampico fibers for a little extra scrubbing power. Horse hair is an excellent material for bathing brushes because it is soft and pliable while still sturdy and durable with a certain elasticity. Used with a good soap it gives a soft, rich lather for a perfect cleaning. Allow the brush to dry standing on the brush. Brushes that give "hand-made" a new meaning: In the late 19th century a small brush manufacturing company was started in Stockholm, Sweden called Iris Hantverk. It was a successful venture, so successful that it remains today. Now, as then, every brush is made by hand by visually impaired craftsmen. It brings new dimensions to the concept of sensitively made by hand. All brushes are of exclusive design and made mostly from natural materials.
