"IOWA STATE" '90s vintage JERZEES body sweat

This is a vintage sweatshirt from IOWA STATE (Iowa State University).

It's a JERZEES, MADE IN USA, likely from around the 90s, and probably sold at the university's bookstore.

Iowa State University has a long history, founded in 1858.

In 1864, it was established as the first land-grant university in the United States under the Morrill Land-Grant Acts. It was co-educational from the beginning and developed as an educational institution focusing on agriculture and animal husbandry, the main industries of Iowa, as well as science and engineering.

It changed its name to Iowa State University of Science and Technology in 1959, and it remains so today.

The body is a 50% cotton, 50% polyester fleece sweatshirt.

It has a simple, straight raglan cut typical of this era.

We recommend this red sweatshirt, which we have collected in large numbers, as a main top, or styled with charcoal gray or brown wool slacks, or worn as an inner layer under a tweed jacket.
