Souvenirs used to be sent in the mail with just a mailing tag and stamp. Here's a great example in remarkably good shape for age. Wrapped in leather and grass of some sort. The doll is made of cardboard. The tag says "Before this message reaches you, From here I must vamoose, A thousand wishes for good luck, I send with this papoose." This is from The Grand Canyon and based on the George Washington bicentennial 2 cent postage stamp, was mailed in the 1932.
