The washers can enhance the connection tightness, reduce relative sliding between parts, thereby inhibiting the tilting tendency caused by component displacement

The 5th wheel hitch (on the truck side) and the trailer's "kingpin" maintain constant contact during travel, generating sliding friction especially during acceleration, braking, and turning. Installed on the contact surface between the two components, the lube plate can replace or supplement traditional grease lubrication. Through its own low-friction properties, it reduces frictional resistance at the contact surface, prevents direct metal-to-metal wear, and extends the service life of both the 5th wheel hitch and the trailer kingpin
