The New US Army ECWCS Generation III (GENERATION 3) refers to a system composed of 7 types of tops and 5 types of bottoms that can adapt to various climates and situations.
This Level 7 is the final cold-weather outer layer, and PrimaLoft is used as the inner layer. This is a high-tech material using polyester, which is said to be about 8 times warmer than down.
