- DIRECTIONS TO BURN - The sand will keep the wick upright for quite a while during the burn. Leave 1/4" of the wick exposed above the sand to light when ready. When the event is over simply blow out the candle and let it cool for a bit. Allow the wax to harden and then pull out the solid chunks and wick. Add some more sand wax and sweep the sand wax so that it is flat. Replace with a new wick and you are ready to use this candle again.
