Product Description This kit is designed to help electricians and HVAC technicians solve problems quicker. Test first for overheated electrical devices using an IR thermometer; then use electrical test tools to find out more about the problem. From the Manufacturer For the residential electrician, the Fluke T+ Electrical Tester covers all of the basic electrical measurements, from voltage entering the house at the power panel, to the output of the transformer powering the doorbell. For industrial techs, check voltage balance between phases to see if it's within 2 percent and for voltage drop across motor contactors or relays, where voltage drop should be negligible. The T+ has three ways to detect ac/dc voltage: light, sound, and vibration. Each of the nine LEDs indicates a specific voltage that illuminates when the test leads contact voltage. It offers the added functionality of a GFCI trip and continuity beeper, plus the convenience of a built-in flashlight. The T+ runs about 40 hours on two AAA batteries (included). Safer than traditional solenoid testers, the T+ is rated CAT IV-600 volt, CAT III-1000 volt, and complies with NFPA 70E. The Fluke T+ Electrical Tester is sold as one item per package. As electrical systems grow more and more complex, spikes, transients, surges, and sudden over voltage events become more common.
