Quruli was formed in 1996 by Shigeru Kishida, Masashi Sato, and Nobuyuki Mori, who belonged to the music circle "Rock Commune" at Ritsumeikan University. This work is their 14th original album, created by those members gathering in Izu.
It's the first time since their fourth album, "THE WORLD IS MINE," released in 2002, that original members Shigeru Kishida, Masashi Sato, and Nobuyuki Mori have gathered in a recording studio to create new songs.
Production of this album began in the fall of 2022. The team repeatedly worked to create something from scratch, mainly at the Izu studio. The album features songs that could only be created because of the reunion of Shigeru Kishida, Masashi Sato, and, above all, Nobuyuki Mori, with all the tracks completed by the three members' performances.
The documentary film "Quruli no Eiga," which followed the album's production, was released and digitally distributed on October 13th. The film reveals why Quruli chose to create music with three members now and how the songs were created. It offers an inside look at the music production process, which is usually unseen, and unravels the reasons and the process.
