Excellent Condition 1950s American Field Duck Hunting Jacket, Size 40, Diamond Talon Zipper

This is an American Field duck hunting jacket from around the early 1950s.

The tag is a sticker-type (transfer/decal) tag, not a cloth tag.

Markings:
"American Field / Guaranteed Sportswear /
The Hettrick Mfg. Co. Statesville N.C."

This transfer tag is a common specification from the late 1940s to the early 1960s, and it tends to disappear due to washing and aging. It's not uncommon for these items to lack a separate cloth tag.

This particular item has a confirmed transfer tag, making it an important detail that supports its age.

The front features regular buttons instead of snaps. It has a classic design with a game pocket.

The fabric is thick cotton duck.
There are no signs of it having been washed, and it has a crisp, stiff feel, indicating it's unwashed.

The zipper is a TALON chain zip with a diamond-shaped stamp.
It retains the original short chain pull of the early type used in the early 1950s.

The buttons appear to be urea buttons, and there are no cracks or chips.

There is no bloodstain or similar in the game pocket, and the condition is judged to be unused or with very little use.
There is slight deterioration of the inner fabric due to aging (surface cracks, areas that are thin), but this is a natural state considering the age.

The sewing is done with cotton thread, and the slightly greenish-beige thread color is also a characteristic of the time.
