Bubblegum pink cobaltoan calcite. Blanket of small, shimmering crystals and some small malachite pieces. Has a vug on one side with larger, more deeply colored crystals inside. Very sparkly and has a nice weight to it.
Cobaltoan calcite is a pink variety of calcite that replaces Ca with Co2+. It appears in veins copper-cobalt deposits in the Congo, which produces some of the most vibrant and bright specimens on the market.
