Brass is easily soldered and brazed and accepts plating readily. The typical composition is 70% Copper and 30% Zinc. Strength increases with a higher percentage of Zinc. Round head fasteners have a dome-shaped head. An older style of head, it is typically used when replacing existing round-head fasteners where an exact match is desired.
