Vintage Bing & Grondahl B&G Chick Peep Figurine 2194 - Denmark. Bing & Grondahl (B&G), established 1853, is known for quality craftsmanship and is highly collectible. With influences from Chinese blue and white porcelains, the company emerged producing figurines and plates in a technique called under glazing. The underglaze technique allows for the soft, watercolor appearance. The glossy porcelain figurine is of a small brown chick on a grassy base designed by Svend Jespersen, C1970-83. First quality. Charming figurine for animal lover or collector.
Estate find in very good condition; minor shelf wear to unglazed base. Stamped with green three B&G towers with #2194. Measurements approx. - 2 3/8" H
