Description

From "Brooklyn Armed Forces (BAF)", a civilian model of the ECWCS 3rd generation Level 7 jacket. Level 7 is a cold weather insulated jacket that is at the top of the layers adopted from the 3rd generation. It has the same heat retention as down due to the water-repellent nylon shell and PrimaLoft insulation, but it is easy to handle.

The design is a stand-up collar zip front, and the silhouette is loose. A hood is stored in the collar, and can be taken out or put away according to the weather or mood. Drawcords on the hem and hood, and Velcro adjusters on the cuffs and hood top. The pockets include zip-closure hand pockets, vertical inner pockets, and a large mesh glove pocket on the inside bottom. Although it is a civilian model, it has a construction that follows military specifications.

Developed in the 1980s, the US Army's Extended Cold Weather Clothing System, officially called "Extended Cold Weather Clothing System". It is a system that can cope with various conditions by layering multiple items.
