The Ascend Tools’ FO3S-853 three-hole fiber cable stripper performs all common fiber stripping functions on all three elements of the fiber cable – outer jacket, buffer and cladding. The three holes have three different size notches. The first hole strips the fiber jacket down to the 250-900 micron buffer coating. The second hole then strips the buffer coating down to the 250 micron coating. The third hole strips the 250 micron coating down to the 125 micron bare fiber without scratching or damaging the fiber core itself. It is spring loaded to ease stress on the hand during repetitive stripping function. A safety lock protects the blade as well as the user and allows the stripper to be easily stored when not in use. Each of the three holes is precisely set to strip the three elements of the fiber cable – outer jacket, buffer and cladding. Each tool is quality tested for tolerance; the measured tolerance is printed on a label stuck to the packaging (of every single stripper). These strippers are made from high carbon Japanese steel; they host sharp blades with edges hardened to Rockwell standard (HRC 60-62) and grinded to very sharp edges - all to deliver precise stripping action with comparatively less required force.
