Traveling Man treasures is selling this Egyptian Revival period solid brass Egyptian scarab with incised details, including hieroglyphics on the underside. This particular scarab was made in Egypt (most likely Cairo) circa 1880s-1930s.
The scarab is in good condition with a lightly-aged Patina, and Inspired by the Egyptian (Kheper) Scarab, which was a popular Icon in ancient Egypt due to its close connection with the Sun God Ra.
