Antique 19th c. Chinese Qing Dynasty Blue & White Floral "Cuan He" Lidded Box

Dimension: 7.75 x 7.75 x 4.25 inches (19.68 x 19.68 x 10.79cm)

This charming lidded box is a classic example of 19th-century Chinese export and domestic porcelain, crafted during the mid-to-late Qing Dynasty. Known as a “cuan he” or compartmented serving box, it was originally used for holding sweets, snacks, or small items.

• Condition Note: The lid is fitted with a later replacement pewter knob, as the original porcelain finial was lost over time. The piece shows minor age-related wear to the glaze and rim, consistent with its antique status, but no cracks or significant chips.

• Authentic Mark: The base bears a square blue and white seal mark, a typical “studio mark” used by 19th-century Chinese folk kilns to identify their work.
