Product Description Digital multimeter measures alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) to 10 amp, Meets International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) safety standard 61010 and is certified for category II installations and category III installations. From the Manufacturer Amprobe began life in Long Island, NY in the late 1940's under the name Pyramid Instrument Company. In 1960 the company name was formally changed to Amprobe Instrument Corporation. Amprobe continued to design, engineer, manufacture and distribute product from its Lynbrook, NY location until it was merged to form ATP and relocated to South Florida in late 1999. The Amprobe 30XR-A Manual Ranging Digital Multimeter is a non-contact voltage detector that has a separate door for easy battery and fuse access. It is a manual ranging display that is a 3-1/2 digit LCD with a 1999 count. It has a display update rate of 2.5/sec, nominal. Also, it has a low battery indicator and a overrange indicator.
