AMACO Semi-Moist Underglazes Set No. 1 (#108) includes 8 assorted saturated decorating colors: Black, Dark Blue, Dark Green, Light Yellow, Maroon, Light Brown, Blue Green, and White. Concentrated, opaque, and suitable for fine detail work on unfired clay or bisque, low/mid-high fire (Cone 05-6) AMACO Semi-Moist "SMUG" Underglazes are formulated to be applied like traditional pan watercolor paints! Colors respond like watercolors when brushed, becoming more opaque when layered and more transparent when diluted with water; they can also be blended and mixed to achieve a wide variety of effects. Semi-Moist Underglazes are packaged in watercolor-like pans, in a convenient tray with a hinged lid; use a brush dipped in water to lift underglaze from the pan, then apply. If left unglazed, colors should not be used on surfaces that come in contact with food or drink. Maroon holds its color up to Cone 6; all other colors can be fired to Cone 10.
