40s 50s HBT Shirt Jacket - Modified - US Army

This is a modified version of a US Army herringbone shirt (or jacket?) from the late 1940s or 1950s.

It's a type with 13-star buttons, a later model with different details from the M43. All the buttons were originally black-painted, but the paint has worn off.
The top button is missing.

As shown in the images, it's a modified piece with added pockets, making it a truly unique item.
The haphazardly attached pockets give it a great, rough feel.
Herringbone fabric of a different color was used for the pockets, creating a two-tone effect.

It has a general sense of wear and tear, giving it a vintage look.
There are stains, paint marks, scuffs, and broken stitches.
The collar has been repaired with patchwork.
There was also a 1cm square damage on the back, which has been repaired with a square patch of herringbone fabric and stitched with a sewing machine.
