Product Description Scotch-Brite(TM) Paper disc has long been the industrial workhorse of abrasive arsenal with improved cut, flexibility, disc life, and a more durable edge, this abrasive can help you achieve even more. Premium aluminum oxide on a C weight paper backing disc roll. New paper backing provides flexibility and improved edge durability. Resin bonded for increased cut and disc life. Load resistant coating. Convenient disc roll form. 6-inches diameter. P100 grit. 6 holes. From the Manufacturer The 3M™ Stikit™ Paper Dust-Free Disc Roll 236U discs offer aggressive cut and long life with premium aluminum oxide mineral abrasive, along with 6-hole dust extraction for use with a vacuum system, and a convenient Stikit adhesive backing. A go-to product in many industrial operations, these durable discs are well suited for high production sanding operations as well as general purpose applications on paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites, including fiberglass. Designed for use with a random orbital sander, the strong C-weight paper backing resists tearing and edgewear during aggressive sanding, and the discs are resin-bonded for heat-resistance, further increasing life and cut. These discs also feature an open coat and a load-resistant coating to enhance dust management and cut-rate. For maximum dust extraction, use this disc with a 3M™ Stikit™ Dust-Free Disc Pad and a 3M™ Random Orbital Sander with vacuum (both sold separately).Sandpaper discs cut better and last longer when dust isn’t loading the cutting surface of the abrasives. The 6-hole dust-management system uses a series of evenly-spaced holes in the abrasive that are aligned with the holes in the disc pad. Suction via a vacuum system is drawn through the holes to collect dust from the air and workpiece, for improved working conditions, disc performance, and overall productivity. A load-resistant coating allows the disc to continue cutting even when sanding softwoods, paints, and other materials that would, otherwise, clog the surface of the disc and hinder sanding ability. Loading is further reduced by an open coat, which means the abrasive grains are spaced slightly apart so that dust can escape rather than obstructing the cutting edge of the grains, thereby optimizing cut-rate and disc life. Sanding discs come in a variety of forms to fit various power tools and disc pads. 3M™ Stikit™ Discs are designed to handle a wide range of sanding and finishing needs. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) coating on the back so they conveniently press onto the backup pad, and remove cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next disc. A disc roll makes the discs easy to grab while eliminating the use of disc liners. A Stikit dust-free disc should be used in conjunction with a Stikit dust-free disc pad (also called a backup pad and sold separately) that is attached to a random orbital sander. Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges in use, whereas traditional abrasives such as garnet quickly wear down with use. Due to their fast cut-rate, hardness, and strength, aluminum oxide discs are widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys. For more than a century, 3M has applied innovation and technology to improving our customers’ lives and supporting their business goals. Today the company, from its headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota, serves industrial and commercial customers and consumers in nearly 200 countries. Abrasive Systems products, including a complete line of coated abrasives, microfinishing and microreplicated abrasives, and hardware accessories, provide the finishing touch for almost any surface modification application. The 3M brand, across thousands of products, represents consistency, superior quality, and value.

  • Premium aluminum oxide mineral is durable, cuts fast, and performs well on many surfaces
  • 6-hole dust-free feature allows a vacuum to capture dust for a cleaner workspace and longer disc life
  • Strong, C-weight paper backing resists tearing and supports aggressive sanding with extra durability compared to lighter weight paper backings
  • Open coat construction and load-resistant coating prevent premature loading of the disc surface to maximize cut and extend abrasive life
  • Stikit rolls have adhesive backing that allows for quick application and easy removal and eliminates disposal of disc liners, increasing productivity
