- MEASUREMENT: The distance from the ground to the top of the existing backboard should be between 7-1/2 inches and 9-1/2 inches; Measurement from the bottom of the heating element to the top of the existing backplate should be between 5 inches and 6-3/4 inches; Measure from the backplate to the front of the heating element to a depth of less than 3-1/4 inches
