As a brand new addition to Rossignol’s Alpine series in 2025, the Arcade 84 Open Ski serves to blur the line between frontside and all-mountain performance. It’s lighter and a bit less robust than the Experience series and thus becomes more approachable than its predecessor. It has a shorter turn radius, too, and is easier to control as a result. It uses a full poplar wood core with an ABS strip down the center of the ski to add a spine-like element for stability, smoothness, and dampness. A single sheet of titanal extends the entire width of the ski but doesn’t travel far past the mounting points in terms of its length. Playfulness is amplified in the tips and tails while stability and power are magnified underfoot. The weight stays down also, but the ski remains powerful, controlled, and maneuverable through all kinds of terrain. At 84mm in the waist, the Arcade 84 truly shines in an all-mountain setting and sports just the right amount of surface area to navigate bumps, trees, and steeps with ease. It’s still quick between its edges, and it has a pretty engaging profile, so the ski definitely carves with vice-like grip in firm conditions. It has a similar feel to the Forza 70, but it’s a bit more well-rounded and thus accommodates mid-level skiers seeking an intuitive yet ambitious ride with a frontside lean.

  • WHY WE LIKE IT - Blends the characteristics and feel of the Experience skis to result in a highly approachable ski in terms of performance and price.
  • WHO IT'S FOR - Intermediate to expert directional skiers who are seeking outright versatility and ease of use at a low cost is the main target audience here.
  • HIGHLIGHTS -Rossignol employs the use of a full poplar wood core with an ABS LCT (Line Control technology) strip that vertically runs the length of the ski to bolster longitudinal stiffness. Central titanal laminates underfoot contribute vibration damping as well as edge grip on firm snow. Rectangular Sidewalls running the full length of the ski bolster longitudinal stiffness and directly transfer power to the ski's edges.
  • FIT AND SIZING CONSIDERATIONS - Skis true to size.
