David Johnson, a former NFL running back, is best known for his time with the Arizona Cardinals, particularly his breakout 2016 season. During that year, Johnson showcased his versatility as both a runner and a receiver, amassing over 2,100 yards from scrimmage (1,239 rushing yards and 879 receiving yards) and scoring 20 total touchdowns. His performance earned him Pro Bowl and First-Team All-Pro honors.
Johnson was also recognized for his ability to be a dual-threat back, with excellent hands for catching passes out of the backfield. Unfortunately, injuries hampered the rest of his career with the Cardinals, starting with a wrist injury in 2017, which limited his production in subsequent seasons.
He was traded to the Houston Texans in 2020 as part of the blockbuster deal that sent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to Arizona.
