Our smart thermostat activates the heater as soon as the ambient temperature reaches 3°C (38°F) and turns it off at 15°C (59°F). It scores with improved stability and a power indicator light: depending on the ambient conditions, it automatically adjusts the heat output by ±3°C for optimal energy efficiency.
- Highly efficient heating and waterproof construction: our heating cable with thermostat delivers a maximum power of 12 W/foot (approx. 39.4W/meter) for fast heating: it only takes 5 minutes to reach 15°C (59°F). The cable itself has an IP68 rating; it is also equipped with a custom waterproof plug (IP44) that protects against rain or snow (not submersible).
- SAFE AND THOUGHTFUL CONSTRUCTION: Simple construction, easy installation. Wrap the heating cable with thermostat straight or spiral around the water pipe and secure it with metal tape and cable ties. Before you buy, check our product page thoroughly to choose the right length. (For pre-testing before installation, perform it at temperatures below 0°C (32°F). Plug in the heating tape - within minutes you will feel a slight warmth.)
- Important notes: Never install the heating cable on plastic pipes unless the pipe is always filled with water. Use plastic pipe material (including PEX tubes) which is suitable for use in residential buildings in water systems. To ensure even heat distribution, we recommend wrapping plastic pipes with aluminium foil before applying the heating cable.
- Installation instructions: Before installation, check the pipes to ensure they are clean and dry. Also check the length, power and voltage of the cable. Before installing thermal insulation, make sure the cable is working properly and has no cuts or cracks.
- FITS VARIOUS PIPES: We guarantee a power cord length of 2 meters (6.5 feet) - ideal for use over longer distances. Wrap the heating tape around the pipes like a "protective hood": it is a reliable helper for cellars, drain pipes, outdoor protection valves, pipe valves, taps, etc., and works perfectly with plastic hoses and metal pipes. It meets a variety of requirements and is suitable for water supply pipes, sewer pipes, RV pipes, garden hoses, sewerage systems and more.
